Mission Statement
Although the Latino community makes up nearly 19 % of the U.S. population, they represent only 6–7 % of physicians—revealing a striking representation gap in medicine. The research world shows a similar imbalance.
The National Latinos in Research Conference at Johns Hopkins University aims to bring together Latino, Latina, and Latinx pre-med students and researchers from across the country in hopes to build community, increase visibility, and inspire the next generation of Latino leaders in medicine and science.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The National Latinos in Research Conference at Johns Hopkins is a platform for academic exchange and collaboration. It will take place at the Homewood Undergraduate campus of Johns Hopkins University. It is open to all Latino undergraduates who are interested in pursuing medicine and or research as a career.
